We could be the leaders in the world for general and recreational aviation

The Prime Minister has shown leadership and many of his Ministers are excellent. I am particularly impressed with the tough decisions that have been made in the Department of Social Security.

We could be the leaders in the world when it comes to general and recreational aviation. We have very little air traffic, almost perfect weather conditions, and the value of our dollar would mean that we could go to the forefront in flight training. None of this is happening at the present time and we are actually going backwards. It is one of my greatest disappointments that even though I introduced some worthwhile reforms I failed to introduce all of the reforms that are necessary.
